Nishant Varma

Nishant Varma is the founder of OBG Access, an advisory firm supporting women’s health medical device companies in bringing products to market and scaling toward successful exits.

He began his career at PwC, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CPA), before moving into equity research at Barclays where he developed a strong foundation in financial analysis and market evaluation.

Nishant later co-founded Safe Obstetric Systems, where he spent over a decade leading the commercialisation of the Fetal Pillow - an innovative device designed to improve safety in complex caesarean deliveries. During this time, he worked closely with clinicians and healthcare systems to drive adoption across international markets, culminating in the company’s successful acquisition by CooperSurgical.

Following this exit, Nishant founded OBG Access to support the next generation of women’s health innovators. Through a combination of strategic advisory and practical market access support, he works with leadership teams to develop go-to-market strategies, secure early clinical adoption, and build scalable commercial pathways in the US market.
