About Us

OBG Access is a specialist advisory firm that supports companies commercializing devices within the field of Obstetrics & Gynecology. We partner with founder-led medical device companies across all stages of their commercial journey, from market entry following regulatory clearance, to developing a clear path to scale and exit. 

Built by founders who have taken an obstetric device from concept to exit. We’ve been here before – a 10-year journey from concept to exit. Over that time, we’ve developed a deep understanding of the obstetrics and gynecology medical device landscape and built a vast clinical network that we can tap into.

Our Approach

We focus on three critical stages of the commercial journey in successfully bringing an OBGYN device to market

1. Plan

OBG Access works closely with founding teams to develop a US go-to-market strategy by identifying target OBGYN hospital groups, clinicians, and KOLs. Leveraging a deep clinical and commercial network, we offer access to early adopters in the market. We also prepare forecasts and detailed commercial plans to support fundraising and investor discussions.

2. Launch

OBG Access supports market activation by bringing your device to relevant OBGYNs, early adopters, and key facilities throughout the US. We offer support through all stages of the sales cycle, from clinical buy-in to early pilots and eventual product approval. We also assist in building out your sales and distribution infrastructure to drive adoption of your device nationally.

3. Scale

OBG Access supports the transition from early pilots to broader adoption across OBGYNs, hospitals, and healthcare systems nationally. For companies approaching acquisition, we help with exit preparations, due diligence, and demonstrating long-term value to potential acquirers. Our guidance is informed by real-world exit experience in the women’s health space.

Built by Experience, Not Theory

OBG Access was founded by the team behind Safe Obstetric Systems, an innovative startup that took an obstetric medical device from concept to exit over a 10-year period.

As founders ourselves, we’ve been through all stages of the journey. From early prototyping through regulatory clearance, clinical adoption, scaling operations internationally, to eventual acquisition by a global leader in women’s health medical devices. 

OBG Access was founded to offer this experience, guidance, and network to other startups on a similar journey.
